The SECC is Scotland’s national venue for exhibitions and events of all kinds. It provides five Halls accommodating a wide range of exhibitions and events, with Hall 4 being the largest with a seating capacity of 10,000. Hall 1 holds 360 people. Hall 2 can hold 2,500 seated, 3,600 standing, or 3000 part seated, part standing. Hall 3 can hold 5000 seated for conferences and 4,232 for concerts/theatre, up to 5,852 all standing.
The S.E.C.C. also houses two auditoriums. The Clyde Auditorium has been described as Glasgow’s most iconic building and its stylish curves are a landmark sight in the city. Affectionately known as ‘The Armadillo’, it was created by world-renowned architects Foster and Partners. The Loch Suite at Lomond Auditorium can be used as a stand-alone venue or it can provide a seamless link between the Clyde Auditorium and the exhibition halls.
The central concourse at the SECC provides a direct link between all five exhibition halls and the Loch Suite. Stairs, escalators and lifts provide access to the Clyde Auditorium and the four-star Crowne Plaza hotel.
